E&V Moving is responsible for personal information under its control.

We have designated a Privacy Officer who is responsible for overseeing our privacy practices and responding to questions, access requests, corrections, and complaints concerning personal information.

Questions or concerns regarding this Privacy Policy or our handling of personal information may be directed to our Privacy Officer using the contact information provided in Section 14.

    4. How We Use Personal Information

    We may use personal information for purposes including:

    • Preparing moving, storage, packing, transportation, and relocation estimates or quotes;
    • Scheduling, coordinating, performing, and completing requested services;

  • If we wish to use personal information for a materially different purpose, we will obtain additional consent where required by law.

    5. Consent

    Where required by applicable privacy law, E&V Moving obtains consent for the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information.

    Consent may be express or implied depending on the circumstances, the sensitivity of the information, and the reasonable expectations of the individual.

    For example, when you request a moving quote and provide us with your contact information, origin and destination addresses, and shipment information, we may use that information as reasonably necessary to prepare the quote and communicate with you regarding your request.

    You may withdraw your consent to certain uses or disclosures of your personal information, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice.

    Withdrawal of consent may affect our ability to provide certain services where the information is necessary to perform the requested service.

    6. Text Messaging (SMS)

    If you provide a mobile telephone number and consent to receive text messages from E&V Moving, we may send service-related text messages concerning:

    • Moving estimates and surveys;
    • Appointment and move reminders;
    • Booking confirmations;
    • Pickup and delivery information;
    • Dispatch, driver, or moving crew updates;
    • Scheduling changes;
    • Customer service matters; and
    • Account or service-related notifications.

    Unless we separately obtain any consent required by applicable law, we do not use SMS consent obtained for service communications to send unrelated marketing or promotional text messages.

    Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile service provider.

    You may opt out of SMS messages by replying STOP. You may reply HELP for assistance.

    Opting out of text messages does not prevent E&V Moving from contacting you through another appropriate method when communication is reasonably necessary to perform an existing contract, complete a requested move, address an account or safety issue, or comply with legal requirements.

    We maintain records of SMS consent and opt-out requests as reasonably necessary to demonstrate and administer customer communication preferences.

    7. How We Disclose Personal Information

    We do not sell or rent personal information.

    Service providers are expected to use personal information only for the purposes for which it has been provided and to maintain appropriate safeguards.

    SMS Privacy: We do not sell, rent, or disclose SMS/text-message opt-in information or consent records to third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes. SMS information may be disclosed to telecommunications carriers, messaging providers, and other service providers only as reasonably necessary to administer and deliver our communications or as otherwise required by law.
